iPad Competition Winner announced!
Throughout 2015 Monaghan Integrated Development (MID) have been holding events and initiatives to support people wishing to return to education/training or employment. In Autumn MID teamed up with Monaghan County Library to highlight support for learners and job seekers available from both services.
In the case of the Library, services include free access to copies of local and national newspapers and free internet access. Job seekers can check out job advertisements in the papers or look up job vacancies online. Those wishing to return to education/training can access free books on their areas of interest. The library also has background material on different industries and self-help books written by experts in each trade.
MID also helps people to return to education/training and employment under the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP). Those registered with the SICAP programme can get help to develop a personal action plan that will help them to identify a pathway to the area of work or education in which they are interested.
As part of the initiative, MID and the Library service offered the chance to win a free iPad to those who registered with SICAP and the library. The winner was chosen recently and the lucky person was Breda Keenan from Carrickmacross.
